The Federal Government has announced it will combat the rising costs of power by providing a one-off payment to millions of Australians as part of this year’s Federal Budget. The extra financial support will be delivered to age pensioners, people on the Disability Support Pension, veterans, carers, and single parents to help them pay for their next energy bill.

The proposed Energy Assistance Payment could be worth up to $75 for singles and $125 for couples who fall within the eligible demographics.
