Essential Energy is an electricity distributor owned by the New South Wales government. Essential Energy is responsible for building, operating, and maintaining the largest electricity network in Australia. These interruptions are set at times that will ensure minimal disruption for customers with advanced notice.

Essential Energy has spent millions on recent upgrades to their electricity network, including zone substation refurbishments at Cobar, Dorrigo, Dubbo, and Leeton.
