QEnergy is a privately owned Australian electricity retailer that began in 2007. As well as residential electricity, they provide a specialised service to cater to the needs of small and medium businesses. QEnergy provides electricity to Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, and the Northern Territory.
QEnergy provides its customers with personal account management that promises to saves its clients time and money. Households can get low rates with simple, no-frills service. Residential plans include their Flexi Home, Flexi Saver Home, and Home Your Way.
QEnergy focuses on delivering tailored solutions for business users with tariff structures designed to help save on the cost of commercial electricity. Business plans include Flexi Saver Biz, and Biz Your Way.
QEnergy have a GreenPower plan called QGreen which allows businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with a percentage of electricity generated from renewable sources.
QEnergy offer plans with no connection fee, no lock in contract or exit fees. They also have other plans that offer a 24 month agreement but with lower guaranteed rates using their SmoothPay option.
QEnergy’s SmoothPay option offers smaller monthly amounts to help with cash flow and budgeting. It predicts the estimated cost of your next annual electricity bill across the year then divides the cost into 12 equal monthly instalments, reducing the risk of bill shock or seasonal consumption bill spiking and makes bill payments more predictable.
The usage is monitored during the period of the contract, and if the usage exceeds or is less than the expected amount, a QEnergy Account Manager will contact the client to adjust the monthly instalment. SmoothPay can be paid by Direct Debit, BPay, Direct Deposit, Cheque and in person at Australia Post.
